If you claim that they're so fucked, how can they just be pretending?
How much of an immature idiot are you, that you dismiss people's emotions as fake, and treat them as fake humans? Merely being alive is enough reason for anxiety, fear is pretty much the most common and basic emotion.

I guess this is all the fault of psychology, which aims to trivialize and reduce the human soul to that of a mere animal. Just look at suicide - in the past it used to mean something. Like when Cato killed himself as an act of defiance against Caesar, or in the works of Shakespeare, or even in the immature work of Goethe. It was an expression of something - something more than "I'm depressed". Now, everything is just a symptom to be medicated, and you're even calling philosophy as a mere "treatment".
