okay so listen, normie girls love John Green. If there's any author they've read, it's him. You'd be surprised just how many girls you pass in the street who know who he is and have read at least one of his books. If you're interested in hooking up with a normie girl, read a few John Green books. It's only a few hours of your time per book and it gives you a foot in the door in terms of "meaningful" conversation about literature (yes I'm aware that he's not actually "meaningful" but we're talking about the average girl that you want to date/bang here). Normie girls love thinking they're "sophisticated" and "smart", and discussing any book makes them feel this way. All I'm saying is that John Green, as bad and clichéd of an author as he is, has gotten me laid a few times. Don't underestimate the power he is giving to you for just a few hours of your time

I've fallen into this trap before. Thought someone was bluffing about having read all of Shakespeare's work, so I asked them what they thought about The Two Gentlemen of Verona and they spoke for 2 whole fucking minutes summarizing how integral the play was in developing Shakespeare's ability so he could go on to master his later plays, while also giving me several exact quotes from it.

Needless to say I looked quite the fool when he flipped the question back on me, as I hadn't even read it yet and I'd only seen a few excerpts.
