Everything is being devalued. Almost everything important in life have been reduced to predefined paths; gamified and institutionalized dating, employment, socialization, etc. I don't think Ted was right about everything, but I do wonder if we can manage an industrial society in a way that preserves meaningful living.

We don't climb mountains any more, we climb ladders, hating the people who built them.

He cannot indulge in the power process, not at all, all his diet and other basic actvities are taken care of for him.

Wouldn't he be living in his worst nightmare, seeing as his freedom has been completely and totally snatched from him and he is basically being treated like a domestic animal?
