i was only 7yo when they brainwashed me into believing that a state criminal was the son of God. they gave me presents and chocolates. i might as well believe that 2pac was the son of God. absolute shame.

>WHY DID GOD DO THIS?!
Well, he didn't.

God didn't give your son cancer, humanity did by creating civilization and surrounding ourselves with thousands of poisons which slowly kill us in gruesome ways like microscopic particles of plastic, hormones in our water, steroids in our meat, pesticides in our vegetables, unthinkable amounts of radiation from the billions of electronic devices surrounding us at all times. God didn't rape your son, a man did. God didn't burn your dog alive in your house, you did when you left a faulty electrical socket next to a paper basket and old oily rags. God doesn't cause these horrible things to happen, we do it to ourselves because we have free will. If God stops these things from happening, we no longer have free will.

This is the burden of humanity, we have the power to do great good only because we are capable of great evil.

>"God's purported goodness and the universe's purported evil are reconciled by His ways being mysterious." But if His ways are mysterious, why can you call them good? Why is that aspect of Him not also mysterious and inaccessible
yah, thats what the point of faith and grace is.

Its the idea that regardless of all possible contigencies, in all potential situations and events, there is esential goodness. there is essential object. there is essential purpose. Its Good For Goods sake, not good as an arbitrary and perspectivist abstraction. I really really wish people would read some plato, its not even essentially a christian concept. its one of transcendental positivism. That there is something definite and wonderful that cannot be taken away or be flushed out by petty situationalism. Its a deeply ontological belief. that things spring from good. A pin where all else is fluid. something that one can construct around like an anchor regardless of how the sea rages. If that anchor snapped just because the sea raged left instead of right, it is not an anchor, it was a momentary reprieve. Whhy do you think it was such a forceful idea in its early history. Read something like Eusebius. THese guys lived shitty lives. It was an essential belief, before logic, that there was goodness. And all derivitives are just that, passing tides.

Jesus said you should sell everything you own and give the money to the poor. This seems to contradict that, so it can't be correct

It's clear to me that the word "enemy" used to be two separate words, which were later merged into one and the old meanings erased from human consciousness, memory holed. This, and other such manipulation of language, explains a lot of the retardation we see exhibited in Christians today. The word "enemy" clearly means two different things depending on context. Enemy in the context of loving your enemy is not the same concept as enemy in the context of "I count them mine enemies". The former is defined by your mind alone, it's anyone you have a grudge against. The latter is a prescriptive term, saying who you should fight against. Clearly these two things aren't the same fucking thing. Yet Christians always assume they are and their thoughts are full of logical fallacies as a result. This is how minds are shaped through language.
