Why do pseuds love this book so much? It's literally the origin of our post ironic ironybro culture where nothing is serious or genuine.
This shitty book was a result of a dishonest hack parodying and attempting to deconstruct and denigrate soulful knightly romance literature.
The fact that Don quixote is seen as one of the greatest books of all time is a testament to the degredation of our society into a cultureless post ironic void where anything that's passionate and genuine is seen as bad and old fashioned

Name me one good novelist who wasn't just a philosopher who managed to tell his ideas interestingly. Come on, I dare you.

It's so beautiful. It makes me proud that some of us can create something like this.

Was Don Quixote really the first western novel? If so, then how come? Isn't writing prose pretty much a lot more intuitive and arguably easier than writing than writing poems or epics at least?

If you are not Castilian you will NEVER understand this book.
