bataille's whole notion of the acephalic, the heterogeneous, the fomenting, indistinct, grotesque intractability of the naked dionysian--i don't give a shit about this kind of thing, i've spent time at NYU so i've swallowed so bad performance art, etc.--but i gotta give it to the fucker. what he lacks is not insight, but more eggs and eyes.

seeing the unconditional representation of the ek-static is here uncomfortable, dumb, exhausting, pointless--but it is not WRONG, and that is a point worth making.

Porn and video-games. They are the men's Achilles heels. Our brains are biologically hardwired for action and hunting more so than women, owing to the early stages of human civilization. It is my belief that this trait makes us more susceptible to things that are designed to take advantage of the way the mind operates and hook you into positive feedback dopamine loops. Modern technology/society = decline of men, decline of men = decline of the overall society. Our boys are failing in school, in the workplace, and so on. Already women now make up more than half of the students in institutions of higher education. I am completely lacking in confidence that anything will change any time soon.
