Congrats on saying a load of nothing. Deleuze wasn't a phenomenologist and judging him as one (even a quasi-phenomenologist) is flawed from the start. Even if you argue that he made few contributions to philosophy ("few" being a subjective vague term, you have many of them in your post), his influences were good enough for him to be worthwhile even if he just took a bit of everything.

Deleuze wasn't even a good writer on his own (the stuff he took from others was great though), the idea that it was all aestheticism is ridiculous. Even the idea that he wants to go with the flow is nonsense, flows and abstractions are not opposed as your post seems to suggest.

And finally, Deleuze was a metaphysician. While he did discuss the social at length, you're probably the one reinjecting the social into the metaphysical in your reading rather than Deleuze. While nobody should just jump into Deleuze (especially without a solid grasp of Nietzsche, including his speculative statements in the Nachlass), your post just reeks of the stereotypical "waaah the French just want to be stars, Germans did it better" because you decided to judge Deleuze's work on criteria that you just came up with that have little to do with him in fact. At least it appeases the crossboard migrant philistines on this board.

Of course I'd love to hear a rebuttal, especially on the phenomenological point, but I doubt that will happen.

What do you want? Time to write or material to write about?
Obvious ones are journalists and English professors.

It’s cool man. I have been reading Tolstoy’s “short” stories but his novels might be to lengthy for me right now. I’m not saying god doesn’t exist, but I’m not putting my bets on any horse in the religion race

Honestly, religion is just a hobby these days. They are like furries, some are cool and most don’t rub it in, but there are always the small group of crazy people taking their hobby too far.

So I'm wondering what's the usual cut-off price point for the average /lit/itzen, what factors weigh in the consideration of a books worth and how much of a price is too high even in respect to whatever exceeding quality it may have been produced with. Like, I get it; some people have great pride in publishing their work in a tome so beautifully crafted that it does honor to the content they've filled its pages with. But as a consumer, where is one to draw the line, and say: "This shit is just too hoity toity for me."?

Religions, while having many similarities, still have differing views on morality. Different societies have different morals and taboos. It’s always been subjective.
