Is 8 pages in a single hour a horrendous reading speed, even for a more difficult book? Some books I finish in about a day, but this current book that I'm reading leaves me puzzling over certain parts of it, which I just keep reading and never seem to come to a conclusion of how I feel about them. Now, this isn't because I don't have good word recognition, I can speed read, if what you're counting is just how fast I recognize words. I can read articles very fast, when I'm just looking for certain bits of information or to understand the point of the article. Some books though, I'm so pensive about how approach to them, that it takes me an hour to read just 8 pages.
