Come to think of it, there are probably more pro-Zionist Christians than there are pro-Zionist Jews at this point, aren't there? If we count the huge swaths of American Protestants that are overwhelmingly pro-Israel.

Something to think about: what distinguishes "young adult fiction" from "children's books"? Because some classic kids' books can be very dark, and very grim, and deal with very important aspects of growing up. Think of The Chronicles Of Narnia or The Jungle Book. They're not really YA but they deal with a lot of things that YA purportedly exists to deal with.

Who would you say is the best contemporary poet in this present year, /lit/? Preferably somebody who's somewhat young (at least younger than 60) and who is actively putting out poems to this day. A poet for our own times, but not a shitty one.

I guess it can be any language, not necessarily English.

Considering how much this board posts about the occult, hermeticism, perennialism, and esoteric thinkers, I would have assumed they'd be all over this book like flies on shit. This board ALSO loves Hegel, so the lack of attention this book gets puzzles me even more. Why wouldn't /lit/ jump at the chance to consider Hegel one of hermeticism's greatest triumphs? Yet we don't, and I've never figured out why.

Is the key to understanding the experience of women to grow up around them? Do you need to have had sisters growing up to understand women?

That actually is something I think it would be good to include, if you've got a woman in your cast of characters. As a man I know literally nothing about what it's like to have a vagina. What are periods like? How do you cope with them? How long do they last? How much do they hurt? How long does it take for them to go away?

I guess the question is, who did he kill off that he later realized he would need?

It's probably somebody he killed in one of the earlier books, somebody who's been dead long enough that their death can't easily be retconned.
