Try Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson, though it's only about half sailing: the latter half being survival in Scotch heathers.
Maybe look into the Flashman series if you are into globetrotting tales, though these are more about the character than his travels. Some interesting stuff is still there, though, but often glossed over due to the mundanity of an 8 month voyage across sea to Afghanistan being, well, mundane.
