Fucking for real? Why are men like this? The only female rep on your shelf is cishet, white, middle class? And when asked about women of color, the only thing you can come up with is basically old-timey Candace Owens? I literally don't understand why they're like this.

It's even worse because if you ask them about black male authors they wheel out shit like Richard Wright and Chester Himes, who have no intersectional understanding the slightest, and are misogynistic, and play up tropes of black men as sexually violent in their own novels due to internalized oppression. It's like they have understanding whatsoever of how to select marginalized voices unless it can somehow be made "problematic." When are they going to get some taste, and a clue? So fucking tired of these people.
