Haven't read many spooky books but this was great. I used to read nosleep and creepypastas but they don't do much for me anymore. Are there some actually spooky books out there? Books will never reach the spookyness of movies, but pic related had its moments

What type of parent Eleanor's mother is in the book? as I can tell she seems like an overbearing mother.
