best Bas-Lag novel so far, liked it better than Perdido
the setting is both unnerving, well written and insanely imaginative
the ending felt a bit disappointing but that's just me being salty because i wanted more.

next up is the last book of his trilogy, iron council but i'm like 60 pages in and not that impressed. the premise just feels weaker compared to perdido and the scar and i can't get myself to give a shit about the characters because i don't know anything about them yet

any more mieville readers around?
