The decadents got it right. It is the end and final boss of literature, and there's basically no point reading anything else. It is the culmination of 300 years of English literature and the logical conclusion to it.

Then of course, gay jewy modernism had to ruin it, like it ruins everything. Instead of poems about Adonis and nymphs and the sea and roses and the beauty of nature, we now have dreary gray poems about smokestacks and consumption-ridden whores.
I understand that art reflects society and it would be dishonest to write in this style today, but the fact that no one is even trying is basically why literature is dead. It's unironically over, and has been over for at least a hundred years. Beautiful things will never exist again. Unless you want it to of course.

So, what is your opinion on Oscar Wilde and his works? I have seen people praising him and people saying that he was a horrible writer.

We get rec request threads fairly regularly and it's usually the same books that get mentioned so I was thinking it would be a worthwhile endeavour to make a comprehensive chart of /lit/-approved homo works.

I should mention that being unless you're happy for it to be made on MS Paint, someone other than me is gonna have to put it together,

So some things to think about to get the ball rolling:

>Just male homo masterrace? Lez lit too? Or should we open it up to anything LGBT-related?

>Novels, or plays and poetry too? Should we include non-fiction?

>how homo is homo enough? Should works with incidental homo be considered or should it be central to the work's themes?

>what info should be on the chart? Just cover, title, author? Should each entry have a short sentence describing plot/theme/what form the homo takes?

And of course you can start throwing out suggestions if you want.

>In writing class
>Looking around while everyone is talking to each other
>See cute girl who is extremely shy and introverted reading something
>Look at what book she's reading
>It's The Picture of Dorian Gray
>Impressed because I expected her to read John Green or some shit
>"Hey Anonette, is that The Portrait of Dorian Gray?"
>she holds up the book cover
>"o-oh yeah picture not portrait...well is it good?"
>she nods and whispers yeah
>"Oh, I've been meaning to read it..."
>she goes back to reading
Did I spaghetti /lit/? What should I do? I'm interested in her now, quietness and introversion is already attractive to me, and now I'm more attracted that I know she has a good taste in literature.
