i've stated it in the thread before and i'll say it again
some books are better from FS, some aren't. i like Folio's binding and art, especially when the alternative to an accessible version of Hill House, for example, looks like picrel with the best option being the penguin halloween collection, but even that has its flaws.
the LOA version with all of her novels and some stories is nice too, but i would like to express that Hill House is one of my favorite horror novels and as such would prefer to have a nice standalone copy
the first edition of this sells for around $1000-2000 in good condition last time I checked ebay, and I cannot justify spending that much on a book assuming I could even afford it
therefore, the Folio edition is the best choice
it's all about personal taste and availability. you can't just blanket say "only buy collector's or paperbacks" or "only ever buy FS" because they're both retarded blanket statements
