Maybe this is a weird question, but im fascinated with the concept of rituals and rites, and especially the idea that the more one suffers as a group (as during hazing rituals, for example), the stronger the bonds between people become, and the stronger the sense of belonging to that group.
Are there any publications or books on this topic?
