What are some good fat studies books? I just wrapped up a queer studies course this summer and my prof, who works mainly with fat studies, mentioned a lot of interesting things.

What are some good books that are inclusive in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, abledness, sexuality, and age? I am doing Teach for America and I want to show my kids (many of whom are differently abled, not cis, not white, etc) what literature that's not from the white ivory tower can be like.

Hi /lit/izens,
Since the rise of Donald Trump we have seen and unparelelled odyssey of alt-right hatred towards marginalised groups. To counter this, let us attack what the alt-right holds dear, Homer and the western civilization. I propose that we rewrite Homer's Iliad so that each of the 24 books gives a voice to a different marginalised group. Whoever begins should start with this suggestion and then let it take its course. Book I should be from the perspective of a black Achilles having Briseus (AAVE: Brindas' hoe ass)being taken from him by white policemen

Use this thread to discuss the intersections of gender and class and how they affect literature. I would like for responses to focus on genders that are not part of the binary.
