When the main character act like a dumb ass, and his/her stupidity drives the story. And if the character wasn't absolutely retarded there would be no story.

The Book of Three, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, and pretty much every young adult book does this.

Yeah, wars are stupid. It's not like they happen all the time, are a natural part of life, society, and politics, and reshape the entire earth or anything.

As a matter of fact we'd all be better off if we just stopped thinking about World War 2 and all the other wars. Just forget about it, because there are no valuable lessons to be learned when we ponder death and mass murder.

I don't fucking see the appeal of this whole genre. Who wants to read a story about a kid being a dumbass and at the end of the novel becoming slightly less of a dumbass? Who wants to read about dumbasses at all?

Maybe if you put down Twilight and Harry Potter for a fucking minute you could have read Dante's Inferno.

You should just read Hamlet, dude. It's a great play. It's not like misogyny is even difficult to write a paper about. (1) find something insulting about the female characters, (2) write it down, (3) DONE!
