Yeah and so is reading all 11 Horror’s Call books by F. Gardner. They are epic and scary and basically like Goosebumps for adults!

Is it an achievement to self-publish print-on-demand books on Amazon? Is there at least some merit in having written something which is intended to be a book and which is book length? Or is all that undercut because your book is not vetted in any way? Also, what is the point of self-publishing if you don't have any marketing or any way to effectively market your book? Do people really expect that just because their book exists on Amazon that people will find it?

I honestly just don't get self-publishing. Maybe it's a necessary evil since it has to have killed off vanity presses.
