“For crying out loud, the library closes in 15 minutes.. where is Ling Ling!?” muttered /lit as he dialed her number for the infinite time. “We were supposed to finish our Chemistry lab together just like she promised… I’m always pulling 90% of the weight in that class and all she does is prance around and giggle like a schoolgirl and act cute… (sigh) though it does melt my heart. I’m a sucker for pure girls I guess”
“Uhh.. hello?” a very feeble and weakened voice sounded through /lit’s phone.
“sorry. I felt kinda sick today and could not make it to the library. I lost my phone or else I would have called to let you know”
and Ling Ling was not completely lying, for she could not walk and felt dizzy when trying to stand up… still quivering from her experience.
“oh that’s ok! I’ll just e-mail you my results.. we can do it next time!” said /lit triumphantly.. for Ling Ling had answered his call.. a win in his book.
/lit’s face glowed, as he walked out of the library by himself… convinced that he and Ling Ling were, in fact, getting closer after all.
