>Writing long books is a laborious and impoverishing act of foolishness: expanding in five hundred pages an idea that could be perfectly explained in a few minutes. A better procedure is to pretend that those books already exist and to offer a summary, a commentary.

Is there an obligatory order of reading for Borges or should I just read whatever I want?

I only read Babel and Orbis Tertius (and also some fucking poem which I don't even remember lmoa) and I'm excited for more mindblowing shit, but I won't pretend some of the stories don't intrigue me as much as the others.
