Is poetry objectively more capable of portraying sublime beauty than prose?

rate me connoisseurs

picture a ball, ever so small
the growth begins, and does not stop
the fathom of the event is nigh unreachable
whether fate brings us to the end is a question of time
a wandering glimmer - the crystal of hope
stained through time, faded from time
the sweet promise of purpose is what sustains
fortunes abstained, through sacrifice we gleam
a window into the fathomless with which we might deem
an event so monumentous, it cannot be weighted
the scribe of existence, let him be the judge
the stupendous moment reached, the glimmer unfolded
the whiteness blinding, the nothingness enveloping
fade to white

Can we talk about Based Lord Byron?

>spent entire life getting laid, killing proto-fascists, and loving greece
>started with the greeks before it was a meme
>talked shit about corny english who started with the greeks but fucked it up by being trash

Here's his ode to greece:

I almost never see Romanticism and Neo-Romanticism getting love here. Too much irony. Where are the byronics of /lit/?

Well, you better interview well.

That said, as someone who does, I strode out of my literature degree into a £35k graduate job. Granted, I attended a top university and got a first, but it can be done. Besides, I know plenty of graduates with 'employable' degrees who are languishing in service industry jobs, interning or still unemployed.

Within two years, I will be earning at least £60k. To the annoyance of the STEM babies, I'll probably ditch my career after three years and return to academia.
