Worth the read?

This is a tough book to read.
This is when I realized just how difficult translating between languages is.
All these hyphenated words in the English language translation (ex: “world-picture”) are missing something. There is just no way to really translate the thinking process that results from being a native German speaker over to English. These constructed words in German are able to convey singular ideas while being a combination of multiple words, but in English when we hyphenate words we are (literally) just drawing a line between two separate ideas and implying a connection between them.
So how do I get around this? Just learn German?
