Does anyone have any experience writing and publishing on Royal Road?

I’ve started writing as a hobby and I was wondering if releasing it on Royal Road was a good way to get criticism, keep me motivated to write, and maybe even make a little money (no expectations for that though, mainly a hobby).

Any advice regarding getting started writing or regarding Royal Road is appreciated.

> What inspires you to read?

Depends I read a lot of different things for a lot of different reasons.

I read philosophy to understand the world around me and myself.

I read novels to gain a appreciation for how immensely beautiful and awful the world is.

But first and foremost I just enjoy the act of reading.
