/lit/ please recommend me books to read, I haven't read since highschool when I read Slaughterhouse-Five, Catch-22, 1984, LOTR, and Dune. I also got halfway through Infinite Jest and I dropped it midway due to boredom. The first two books I especially enjoyed for the absurdism, almost like a blend between nihilism and comedy with interesting stories to tell. I'm not looking for fantasy fiction either, something more similar to the first 3 books would be best.

I'm also interested in right-wing politics for non-fiction recommendations, but I also haven't read the Greeks.

How do we save academic writing?
