I don’tknow if you’ll remember me, but I’m that spanish anon that won a second place prize in anarrative contest from a city. Well, it happened again, this time I won first place of my uni’s Saint George’s narrative contest.

There were so many people in that auditorium and being my story about cosmic horror I totally gave up my chances to win. The organizers read a small introduction thanking everyone for their stories about rage, revenge, sadness... they didn’t mention terror, but a ray of hope was seen when he said some stories kept them awake at night. When they pronounced the title of my story (Hydrophobia) my chest was a a battlefield of roaring drums. I somehow walked upon the stage and hugged the organizers out of the excitement. They wanted me to read a small fragment of my story, but it was too ong and I was too nervous to think what should I read and told the audience my story was meant to read it alone in the dark and lit by a flickering candle. Now I am here, wide awake at 5 am, unable to sleep and writing this post.


I am blown away by this, I’ve participated in two contests and won them both. Do I have what it takes to get published?

I’d share my two stories but they are written in catalan, if some of you can understand the language, i’ll be happy to share it somehow.
