Yes, GRRM writes low brow genre fiction for mass appeal with little literary or artistic merit. If you can ignore that for one second, normies are finally realizing that literature can be a superior medium.

Just finished the last GOT book, A Dance With Dragons. Pretty fun read - normally I don't get much into fantasy, but I like the hard, gritty edge he brings with his characters/settings. What other authors would readers of Martin recommend?
