I read the British Library horror anthologies Killer Roots and Into The London Fog. Killer Roots was pretty average, and although London Fog featured E. F. Benson and Arthur Machen it was full of shit that was politics. Sure, it was horror, but it wasn't the horror I wanted.
I'm going to track down entries in this series that weren't edited by women. There's plenty of good vintage horror stories, the problem is the people put in charge of finding them.
