I bought new pretty much all of the vintage dostoy prints with covers like this because i like the typeface and the way they look/feel.
Other than that why would you spend a ton of money on a rare copy if you arent a collector?

I'm 220 pages into Demons and all that's happened is an over-dramatized sucker punch. Uh...when does it get good?

i recommend the richard peaver translation for all the fedor books. it is a fun read that really makes you think. full of insufferable aristocrats and insufferable nihilists

Wow, the beginning is sloooooooow.

the Demons > Crime and Punishment > The Gambler > Brothers Karamazov > The Idiot
but then, i'd say The Idiot is a strong 7/10 and The Demons is 10/10 so you should read them all
also I'm an atheist and the books are all about me so they just made me realise i'm not a special snowflake

Would this be an appropriate place to start with Dosto?
