Absolute fools. There's more truth in Gravity's Rainbow than you've come to know. But good golly gosh, you cannot expect a book like this to not include little tidbits of Facts some might consider Fun... for all the scenes of pernicious suits meandering in halls strewn with debris, the War's constant reminder, and outside scents of petrol mingled with flesh, sinew melting away to show red-stained skulls, under the insolent Sun whose heat seeds Virgin Lands, which is now under barrage daily, by shells and absorbed horror, scarred to the burnt clay... had to have fun in there somewhere, ya feel?

I mean to say, really, is that you're not opening your heart, anon, to all the calibrations beyond the mundane... which really means
