>I absolutely despise the notion that these unselfaware redditors espouse. They act as if everything that is beyond their own intellectual capabilities is merely empty intellectually posturing and then proceed to go full crabs in a bucket mode. My biggest epiphany that I've had in relation to this mentality was when I read the goodreads reviews for 100 Years of Solitude when I was a teenager. A lot of the reviewers were holding the same sentiment that these redditors are holding, that anyone who liked this book was just posturing and liked it for the mere fact that it was considered a classic. And of course it is not a hard book at all and is very enjoyable. Now when I see others enjoying things that are more patrician than the stuff I like, I just view them as smarter than I am.
