Blood Meridian

I read it on a week trip to my family's for a funeral.

I read more than an hour a day though because I hate family gatherings and funerals. While everyone was being over dramatic, sharing stories and eating cheese cubes and fruit platters I sat cooped up and comfy in the guest room reading about cowboys and the atrocities of man.

I dig the antisocial life.

Just finished Blood Meridian yesterday. I really enjoyed it, aside from some of the parts that dragged on (you know the ones).

Anyway, can we get a discussion going? What's the deal with the Judge? Why did he kill Muh Boy? Favourite part? Mine was when Judge scalps the native kid and Toadvine pulls his revolver out, "Goddamn you, Holden",

I don't want God to exists because the concept of God scares me, but I still have the nagging feeling that he might. I also hate myself.

I like to do a little research before I start a book, I'm about to start Blood Meridian. What should I look into before beginning?
