> let the other suffer is what she said when she tortured me.

Your mother is a fiendish subape of the lowest order, teaching you that suffering is the key to enlightenment, that the debasement of your own joys and desires, your dreams and abilities is a good thing. It is not. It is an evil thing. It kills.

There once lived a great woman who taught us that we don't have to suffer, that we can take control of our own lives, using our own brains and hard work to create our own happiness. She taught us that the mind of man is a limitless wonder chamber capable of conquering and completely subduing the world around us.

Was this woman placed on a pedestal? Was she heralded as a prophetess and a sage? NO! Her name was dragged through the mud and she faced down heaps of derision and scorn that would've withered countless many less confident (and less correct) personages. She was lampooned by those creatures that would have you in chains, those politicians and intellectuals whose method is brute force and whose goal is universal annihilation. Her name is even reviled on this very forum by those who fear her. They teach us that nothing is anything. She taught us that everything is something.

Who is she?
