Ok, guys, I don't really want to create a new thread, so I gonna ask you here. My sister is 16, what books should I buy for her birthday? She does not really read that much and when she does it's mostly King and other shit like that. How could I help her grow more interest in reading? Recommend me some books, preferably not YA, fantasy/SciFi would be fine I guess. I really love my sister and I'd like if she grew up to be fine woman in the future, so maybe some books which would make her more interested in being feminine. I don't know guys, please help me.

Any books that deal with explaining the stigma of virginity (for men and women) I'm fine with any lens, religious, philosophical, scientific.

Best opening lines/paragraphs?
Me first:
Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta. She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing four feet ten in one sock. She was Lola in slacks. She was Dolly at school. She was Dolores on the dotted line. But in my arms she was always Lolita.

There's this thing that people on the left do a lot, which is to try to paint someone in bad light with the worst aspects of what might be associated with that person.
You're doing it now, I don't know why you do it tough, since he first gained attention there's been at least 1 smear article a day, yet he's a world bestseller.
You're sad to watch.
