Joji san did the larger portion of the world building, magic, and lore/history of the characters. They took what he gave them and used it to build the game. He did a lot of cool GRRM tricks with it, just like asoiaf you have to actually pay attention to what you are hearing and reading to grasp it all, and even more so because it's a Fromsoftware game and they're always stingy with lore.

His problem isn't the ending, he's known the ending since the beginning. His problem is that he has deviated so far from his initial plan with all the new characters, sub-plots, etc. that he is struggling to get them resolved and tie-in to the actual ending in a satisfying way.
He calls himself a 'gardener' and over books 2-5 he let the garden grow wild with too many characters. In TWOW alone he needs to resolve:

>Jon's resurrection, The Wall, Bran and the far north

>All of Meereen (now with 3 different POVs!)

What do you niggas think is going to go on with Sansa/The Vale in book 6?
Also do you think that Dany coming to Westeros would happen in book 6 or not happen until book 7?
IMO book 6 needs to be the culling book where most characters and sub-plots get killed off.

Assuming TWOW and ADOS both get released, can he wrap up the story and all the many different plotlines in only two books if they're both 1000-1500 pages long? And because of the generally poor reception to the show's ending which has elements from his original ending, will he change up the book ending completely or just some aspects?
