Hey /lit/, first time poster here.

You guys don't seem to have a /stupid questions general/ thread on here so I hope you don't mind if I open this thread for my stupid question:

What version(s) of "The Book of the New Sun" is (are) recommended?

Why is it so perfect, bros?

Any other essential Wolfe novels? I've also read The Land Across.

What was the deal with little Severian? was he just a red herring?

What does /lit/ think of The Book of the New Sun?

I finished it the other day and I'm pretty sure it's too deep for me.

Agia is a little forced throughout the series, and overall one of it's weakest aspects.

Which editions of books do you find comfy and why?

I like the font and size in this edition of book of the new sun, and the way the chapters are spread after a chapter ends, and how there's many small chapters as opposed to a few long ones.
Feels like one of the higher quality paperbacks I've seen.

Any similar sentiments about other books?

really great so far.
