Read it with commentary from the Church fathers, then go from there. You should read it regardless of what you end up taking from it. As other anons have said, it is vital to an understanding of western culture and the arts. You are going to miss a lot of references without knowing basic Bible knowledge.
If you want spirituality though, the Bible is only a part. Tradition and personal devotion is important as well. Also, whatever you do, look stuff up if you don't understand theologically what you are reading. Regardless of your theological beliefs, a ton of brainlets read the Bible once then think they are theologians.

The road to hell is paved with the skulls of bad priests. Corruptio optimi pessima, as it is said. If you are dedicated, being a priest is an extremely /lit/ profession. It is the combination of psychology, religion, and philosophy. But if you are just a boomer priest that isn't committed to everything the faith represents, you are not only bringing shame upon yourself, but so too upon the reputation of all the great saints that came before you. That is a burden that I'm not sure if I could bare.
