Self-predication of the form is so fucking based that scholars are still sperging on it 2000+ years after the Parmenides despite Plotinus clearly explaining how the whole thing works and how it makes perfect sense to talk about participation in Enneads VI 4-5

I am really gonna need some help here. So what is going on in orthodox ontology? I see the term hypostasis thrown around by orthodox christians, but also I am constantly hearing about how their God is personal. Now "person" (prosopon, persona; both literally mean 'mask, dramatic character [in a play]) seems to be diametrically opposite to "hypostasis" (hypostasis, 'substantia'; both literally mean "the 'sub' instantiation of a thing" i.e what is BEHIND the mask). So what is it that orthodox christians mean by "personhood"? I take that their use of "hypostases" to refer to their trinitarian God means that they believe the primordial substance that reality is made of is God? That is ok with me, coming from Plato, that seems to be implied heavily in his system, with perharps some influence from the Eleatics. But at the same time, the underlying thing that all things are made of is "personal" i.e the mask that it uses? Is that some analogic way of saying that God is *exactly what he is*, he is to be taken at 'face-value' when it comes to his nature, something like that?
The way I understand it would be
>What-is is, by self-definition, as a triangle defines itself by virtue of its being a triangle
>What-is-not is not
>What-is - we call it God for short - includes all things that are and can be
>HOWEVER, we [the christians] believe that this One-Thing-That-Is that we call God is 'personal' [???]
Now the 'personal' could also refer to 'an experiencing subject' or 'pure Subjectivity'. In that case, of course, again, the word used is the opposite of what it intends to convey. Subject is the opposite of the mask through which its voice 'personates' (that's the etymology of the word, quite literally the mouth of the mask which personates sound). Subject is the thing behind masks, behind ALL masks. So:
>The-One-Thing-That-Is, we christians believe it to be Subject
After that, it all could match your average metaphysics - subjective idealism etc etc.

Am I going in the right direction?

A guy once mentioned a story about a monk who was approached by angry farmers saying he went and had a kid with a woman and that he has fallen as a monk, they tell him to raise the kid, the monk says "is that so", he raises the kid for a few years, one day the woman admits she lied and she had the kid with some guy but he wanted to stay single, they go to the monk to recover the baby, they explain to the monk, the monk says "is that so" and gives them the baby

any fiction or stories about wisdom?

Depends on the translation. Bible translators follow the "no fun allowed" principle as a result they translate everything literally and there's no flow in the language and nothing makes any sense. As a result you're reading literal greek and hebrew in english.

Books where the protagonist does experiments with his own consciousness? Not necessarily drug related.
