Reminder that if you haven't read Moby-Dick yet you don't belong on /lit/. Get the fuck off this board if you haven't at least read the Great American Novel.

If you can't appreciate Moby-Dick you should be banned from this board.

>a fucking feminist sequel to MOBY-DICK of all books

I'm actually revolted. This is vile.

When I was rereading Moby-Dick and I started reading "Loomings," I teared up. They were tears of joy, though, because I was so happy to be reading Moby-Dick again.

I have been a Moby-Dick poster. There have been others, and I have not coordinated with them, but I have been one of them.

I figured that Moby-Dick was /lit/'s new board meme, and I got all excited because Moby-Dick is a book worthy of memeing. I wanted to contribute, so I pitched in.

Favorite parts of this book?

I think my favorite chapter is the one about the try-pots. The imagery is breathtaking; the thought of the pagan harpooners dancing and chanting their heathen gibberish around the blood red fire, as the dark night of the open sea is endlessly black all around them, has stayed with me ever since I read the book more than a year ago.
