Is there anything close to marxist scholarship in the same vein as "Fascist scholarship"? that is, vapid academics who arbitrarily apply the term to things they intuitively don't like and political enemies through a veneer of scholarship like Eco, Adorno and Stanley? This type of concentrated post-rationalization where you constantly demand everyone play by your vapid historicism and system, giving absolutely no lee-way or charity to opposing views?

I feel like Moldbug got close to it once in his UR post about how America is a communist country but it never picked off. probably because people can only either see communism as a silly view for children but harmless or, according to said children, the ultimate destiny of mankind which is totally not advanced liberalism, mommy.

I mean it's all bullshit of course but that's usually what works for most people. Has there at least ever been an attempt to call these gremlins out on this stuff?
