It's about showing the ultimate conclusions of a life denying attitude, showing both the ugly and the beautiful of solitude in a painfully sincere and unpretentious way. It's honestly one of the best books I've read, showing intermittently the most sensitive and empathetic contemplations along with some of the most misanthropic ideas. It takes skepticism to the higher levels, while remaining grounded to a lack of understanding, to forgetting things, to not being able to come out with something by your own, to being able of seeing beauty in the works of others but only regret on your own. He even rejects pessimism in many passages only to have an approach to life even harder on himself, recognizing how life is what he makes of it, but being unable to even know how to 'want' another kind of life where he doesn't reject all action.

My rejection of the world, or vice versa (it doesn’t matter), makes me feel superior. What can I read that will humble me in my loneliness?
