>I’m not American, $3 for a taco seems reasonable because a living wage where I’m from is far better. And besides, I’m talking about the RATE of taco inflation, not static pricing.
the point is that there is nothing stopping them from selling you tacos at an inflated price. way to miss the point.
>I’m saying that taco trucks have far bigger incentives to keep prices low and customers happy than landlords, because no one NEEDS to eat tacos everyday. People NEED homes.
no they don't. do you have any idea what profit margins are like in the restaurant business? and yes, some people do need to eat out every day because they work for a living and may not have time to prepare a meal. many people don't have an option but to go out for lunch at their jobs. again, you miss the point in any case. you dont need to rent.
>For some reason you think the politicians and lobbyists themselves are entirely blameless.
of course they are. predators are predatory by nature, it's the public's fault for giving them power.
>The taco truck has to compete with those million and one things, therefore a taco truck has the greater incentive to be competitive
you're stuck on this idea that taco trucks "aren't necessary" because you're a communist moron that doesn't understand that every business is "necessary". if they were no need for a business to exist, it wouldn't exist. this means that you have absolutely no evidence that taco trucks have any incentive to be more competitive. EVERY business has incentive to be competitive, because lack of innovation means death when all your competitors are working overtime to put you out of business. it's unbelievable that you need such a basic concept explained to you.
>You’re a landlord bootlicker and fat piece of shit who eats tacos all day without the slightest awareness that other foods exist. Fucking dysgenic mutt retards, I can’t wait until your civil war annihilates you all.
you are an ignorant third worlder who would murder his neighbor for a green card. enjoy poverty.

Do great books have great titles because obviously a great writer would also come up with a great title, or do we only think of those titles as great titles because they're titles of great books?

Would we still think of, say, Simulacra & Simulacrum as a great title if it was a title of a John Green novel?
