Why is it that Beckett is seldom a topic of discussion on this board?

Is his mastery too obvious?

Is he avoided due to the 'culture' his advocates fit into?

Existentialism - (I was assured by the instructor that much of the course will center on Kierkegaard, which is probably the only reason I'm taking it
Ancient Philosophy - (your standard PreSocratics-Plato-Aristotle intro)
Advanced Aesthetics - (which will cover Kant's 3rd Critique, as well as some writings from Benjamin, Adorno, Heidegger)
Honors Environmental Biology
Physics Lab

the science requirement was the only thing I never got out of the way via PSEO or AP :( otherwise I'd be taking a really kickass linguistics anthropology course about language and ideology

I love his dramatic works, I've only read, of his prose, Molloy/Malone Dies/The Unnamable, and I loved them. There's something about the text that was at once entrancing and almost physically disorienting. It was a very sensuous (so to speak) experience, which I've never quite felt in that way with other literature, save perhaps some poetry where I get this really visceral wash of emotion.

I'm interested in reading more of his prose. Any advice where to go after the Trilogy?

Obligatory Beckett. There's so many good pics of him, hard to choose.

"They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams an instant, then it's night once more."
