I've read more S.King than I care to admit but The Gunslinger is still by far his best work imo

There are a couple books I read up until a certain point to get the gist but then dropped out of disinterest.
Dracula and Frankenstein both come to mind; the former was actually really great in the beginning but went to shit when it shifted perspectives and I forgot about it; the latter is pretty mellow from the get-go though I've recently picked it back up.
