I'm on book 8 of the wheel of time. All Egwene has to do is say fuck the Hall, teleport to Rand, swear fealty, and the Hall will be dissolved while Aes Sedai and ashaman combine forces to fuck shit up. Why is there so much stubborn drama between the men and women? I guess it's like real life in a way but shit, it's so pointless when aes sedai pride and ashaman reactions are meaningless in the face of fucking SHAITAN. It doesn't make sense. Swearing fealty to Rand isn't even a big deal, you can still pretty much do whatever you want unless you're a leader, like Bashere, Perrin, Mat, etc. They're the ones that have to bend over but some Brown sister? She can keep cataloguing 9000 species of wild mint or seabirds. Not only that, doesn't everyone know about linking? Linked, they would utterly devastate Seanchan. Kidnap sURTOH or whatever her name is, put her to the question, find out a rough estimate of where the Seanchan come from, and teleport hundreds of aes sedai/ashaman and just sink them into the fucking OCEAN. Then go to Shayol Ghul, it's not hard to find RIGHT THERE on the map, and just blow it up with one power nukes.

Also Rand should've teamed up with Lanfear. Giving her the D every night would've shut her right up.

Hey OP, have you read Blindsight and Echopraxia?
While they have relatively contained stories the do provide some exposition on the world that Watts imagines in the 2080s-90s; plus he has written quite a few supplementary stories set in the same world.

What do you make of it and does it coincide with the accelerationist worldview? One good example from Echopraxia is a religious biohive mind made from quantum entangled tumours that allow the users a basic form of telepathy, while the tumours act in such a way to rewire their brains to make them near prescient. They then go on to patent dozens of breakthrough technologies in a few years giving them one of the largest bank accounts in the world - they buy a top of the line interplanetary ship at three times the market value with chump change. They do all of this for the sole purpose of trying to meet god which they think they see in the molecular biology of a sentient slime mould many times smarter than they are that's stuck on a spacestation near the sun.

Does the whole idea of mega-purchases being used to finance trips to the godhead fit in with this whole thing or nah?

You realize that if it wasn't for Zoroastrianism as the first ever monotheistic religion in the world, the ancient greeks as we know them wouldn't have spawned their own cultural interpretation surrounding the Magi and general zoroastrian thought.

Then it again came back in the form of Jesus's interpretation of the zoroastrian Ahura-Yasna, as a sort of universal figure that transcends the vengeful god of the pharisaic school of thought.

European civilization is literally a peripherical logical extension of the world's first monotheistic iranian religion, zoroastrian itself being a more "closer" religion to the original sun worshiping indo-aryans, who later upon migration started the hindic tradition that we know today.

It's such a weird feeling simply realizing that all of mankind's history is deeply rooted in the general consequences of how we religiously and spiritually define our own realities, as a sort of moral and transcendent set of ideas through which you exist in the universe.

It's also interesting to observe how these evolve, their main ideological process being that of reaching a cooler state of entropy

I want to write a novel that will be heralded as the modern/future day Game of Thrones.

Face it, /lit/, no matter how much you hate the fat ass because of his weak prose, the plot alone is something that will forever push us writers to not write plain and obvious boring stuff.
