I’ve only recently understood how powerful this thing called “reading books” actually is.

Rich dad poor dad by Robert, Think and grow rich by Napoleon hill and The law of attraction by Esther Hicks are three books that I managed to manifest into my hands (by myself or by my mother gifting them to me).

I am today 26 years old. Male. In my youth I’ve experienced my share of mental sickness I.e depression. During this period I’ve always had this mentality that I will overcome and get stronger because as you all know, what doesn’t kill ya makes u stronger. And until you experience this for yourself it’s hard to relate to, as with most things in life.

But with a lot of help, I did overcome it, and sure enough feel stronger then ever before.

During the worst phase of my depression I picked up my first book called The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I read the whole thing through, but would I have read it today when I feel better then ever before I would enjoy the book so much more.

As a result of being cured of depression I started to follow my family’s lead and start to read books. The three books mentioned above are currently in my possession. I’m not sure if this is just the start of my journey reading books, but I feel like I’ve struck gold. These books are by far the second best thing that happened to me this year (first being that I moved to a school and started to study after being off it for 8 years.)

I just feel blessed and a big relief that a lot of my questions can actually be answered in books.

Just wanted to share some of my experiences and thoughts on this seemingly new world I’ve discovered!

PS: I know I’m the best at writing texts and also it’s very late.

Does the Internet fry your brain so that you do not read anymore books, or is this just a massive cope?
