I've waited a book and a half for the big "I'm a spaceman from the futuristic past reveal." It finally happens, and our heroes friends generally accept it, move on and then scene change.

What the fuck? They're not going to ask him/her what it's like being a thousand years old, or being a robot, or what kind of cool super tech he knows about, or explain the part about aliens killing the rest of humanity and that the chances of finding them are?

I just want a comfy scene where Merlin just talks to his friends about what the past was like. But Weber blue balls me with glossing over it to move on to politics. ARGH.
