I don't get anything out of these charts. I need some recommendations.

I mostly read serious books growing up, but I've been sick the last year and started reading fantasy and sci-fi as a supreme distraction.

Shit I enjoyed:

>Malazan (favorite so far)
>Wheel of Time
>Hyperion
>Discworld
>Earthsea
>Dresden Files
>Gentleman Bastard Sequence
>His Dark Materials
>Neuromancer
>The Stars My Destination

Shit I didn't enjoy:

>Anything by Brandon Sanderson
>Foundation
>Lord of the Rings
>Prince of Nothing
>MYTH
>Thomas Covenant
>Live Ship Traders
>The First Law (least favorite so far)

There are a few others that fall in between. The Black Company for example I enjoyed the story and characters but hated the author. Made it through 6 and a half books before I dropped it. Every time it got good or you started to like the narrator he changed them up. Pissed me off.

I also don't (precisely) mind reading awful series like Codex Alera if they're compelling.

I read quickly and for long periods of time, so I prefer very long series if possible.
