Did anyone else struggle with reading books wrong when they were younger?
You read, and you absorb information off the page, but every now and again I used to turn on my narrator voice where I read words but instead of understanding them I was mentally reading them aloud like I was Attenborough.
I couldn't read those days because I couldn't figure out how to turn it off.
I haven't thought about this in ages until the whole Aphantasia and NPC meme took hold a few years back. I hope I didn't break my "mental voice" but suppressing it when I was younger.
