Is biopunk a thing? I want books like Cruelty Squad where shit's just fucking disgusting and the purposes of certain tools are ambiguous and horrifying. Like a far future where biological tools are just more efficient than mechanical ones are so if you want a pizza you put it into the gaping, sweating maw in the wall for a while

I know Dune has a few vague elements like this but I want to read stuff that really explores these ideas and how disgusting but intriguing they can be
